Sakinah Love, PhD

Clinical Mental Health Therapist

Pottstown, PA

In Sakinah's Own Words...

"I believe healing happens through connection—within ourselves, with others, and in safe,
supportive relationships."

Sakinah's Professional & Academic Background

Sakinah Love, PhD (she/her) is a counselor, educator, and advocate who believes healing happens through connection—within ourselves, with others, and in safe, supportive relationships. She creates a grounded, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with their voice, and move toward a life that feels
aligned and meaningful.
Sakinah works with adolescents and adults navigating a range of emotional, relational, and life challenges, including anxiety, trauma, identity development, self-worth, and interpersonal stress. Her approach is collaborative and person-centered, meeting each individual where they are while supporting growth at a pace that feels safe and
sustainable.
Her work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also integrating relational, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based approaches. She places strong emphasis on lived experience—what’s felt, what’s meaningful, and what is ready to be processed—rather than focusing solely on diagnosis. Sakinah believes therapy should
feel like a genuine human experience, where both depth and moments of lightness can exist.
In addition to her clinical work, Sakinah is the Founder and Executive Director of Redeemed for a Cause Outreach, where she leads community-based initiatives supporting individuals impacted by trauma, exploitation, and systemic inequities. Her work reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, prevention, and creating pathways for
long-term healing and empowerment. Sakinah holds a Doctorate in Human and Social Services and is currently a
Professional Counselor Licensure candidate. She is dedicated to walking alongside her clients as they build self-trust, strengthen their boundaries, and reconnect with their sense of self. She believes that choosing yourself is not selfish—it’s necessary for healing and sustainable change.
