I feel that my life’s journey has uniquely qualified me to empathize, embrace and support people of all backgrounds and demographics that are struggling with life’s challenges. I feel deeply that God has placed me here on this earth to help others, thank you for trusting me to help!”

Joseph's Professional & Academic Background

Joe’s story starts with graduating from Abington Highschool in 1999, then he joined the United States Navy and served honorably from 1999-2008. Joe is a combat veteran, who has been deployed 2x into active combat zones. After experiencing a very close personal death Joe realized that he enjoyed working kids and began his career as an educator and attending Arcadia University where he graduated with a degree in History in 2017. As an educator Joe witnessed the stress that his students their parents and the community at large was experiencing due to mental health/life challenges. That is when Joe went back to Arcadia University and in 2022 he received his Masters Degree with a specialty in child, family, trauma and cultural diversity. Joe has worked as a counselor for the last 5 ½ years with families, adults, children, teens, individuals on the autism spectrum and individuals that are and or have been institutionalized. Along with Joe’s extensive background in education, Joe has an extensive background in the Christian Ministry he has served several roles in the church including Deacon, Youth Pastor, mentor and leader in the youth ministry and Christian counselor in the Cares Ministry.

As a counselor Joe creates a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore the struggles they are facing and the life they long to live. He has worked with children, adolescents, adults, athletes, military veterans, first responders, couples, and families who struggle with: Depression, Anxiety, Interpersonal Conflict, Personality Disorders, Grief, ODD, ADHD, ASD, addiction and various other traumas. Working alongside each individual and discovering his or her personal strengths and unique values, Joe pulls from her experience in CBT, DBT, ESFT and Motivational Interviewing and Christian Counseling. Joe believes in a collaborative, holistic and person-centered approach to help the client meet their needs and goals.

Joe has been married for over 17 years and has two children, who are student athletes. Joe enjoys church, the gym where he trains as a natural bodybuilder, practicing and teaching mixed martial arts, coaching football, watching football, basketball, baseball, mma/boxing and movies in particular Marvel/DC superhero movies and the Fast and Furious franchise.
