Jaime DePaolo, MA

Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Employee and Community Engagement Coordinator

Pottstown

In Jaime's Own Words...

"I became a counselor to help individuals identify the areas in their life where they are held captive. I desire to create a safe space where my clients can explore these areas and be set free to live their life, directed by their values, in order to become the healthiest version of themselves".

Jaime's Professional & Academic Background

I’m a relational therapist who believes that healing happens in connection - with others, with
ourselves, and within the therapeutic relationship itself. That relationship is the foundation of my
work, because I believe it’s through real, trusting connection that we begin to feel safe enough to
explore, challenge, and grow.
Relational therapy means we look not just at symptoms, but at the patterns and relationships that
shape who we are, whether those are with romantic partners, family, friends, colleagues, society,
or our own internal world. I believe we are wired for connection, and so much of our distress
(and healing) happens in the context of our relationships.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social and Criminal Justice from Ashford University and a master’s
in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My approach is
collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique goals and needs. I draw from Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Person-Centered
Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapy.
I work with adolescents and adults, supporting people through a wide range of emotional,
relational, and identity-related challenges. While diagnosis can be helpful for treatment planning,
I place greater emphasis on your lived experience-- what’s felt, what’s meaningful, and what
needs healing.
What really drives my work is showing up as a real person - someone who brings curiosity,
compassion, and authenticity into the room. I believe therapy should feel like a genuine human
experience, not just a clinical one. While we won’t shy away from the hard stuff, I also believe
that moments of humor and lightness can be healing too.
Therapy takes commitment, and the work isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m here to walk alongside you as we figure it out together.
