In Joezette's Own Words...
"I chose this field of work to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals can focus on their personal growth and goals. I believe many have their answers within and just need encouragement and guidance to bring it out. This work brings me deep fulfillment in empowering clients to overcome challenges and build meaningful progress in their lives."
Joezette's Professional & Academic Background
My name is Joezette Gray, and I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from Penn State University. Before returning to school, I worked as a social services case manager and a crisis worker. Those experiences led to me continuing my education at Chestnut Hill College for a Master's in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Trauma Studies. I recently graduated in July 2024 and started at Compass Counseling and Associates in September 2024 as I work towards Licensure.
I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. My experience and education are in Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered. The approach I take is collaborative with the client. I believe the client's comfort is most important, followed by the therapeutic relationship. Creating a safe space for individuals to work towards their growth and goals.
I personally enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, playing softball, and binge-watching my favorite shows!
