Kristin's Professional & Academic Background
Kristin is a certified school counselor and licensed professional counselor. For over 15 years, she worked as a high school English and theatre teacher. Witnessing the frequent struggles of adolescents with various mental health concerns motivated her to switch paths to become a counselor. Since 2020, Kristin has worked as a counselor in both mental health and school district settings. She received her Masters of Science in Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2020. Since then she has worked as a school counselor at a high school in Montgomery County. Additionally, Kristin is trained as a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) and has been teaching regularly since 2017. She incorporates mindfulness into her counseling sessions as needed.
Kristin works with adolescents, adults, and persons in the LBGTQIA+ community. She has experience with the following topics: grief, trauma, anxiety and depression. Kristin utilizes various techniques from CBT and ACT and uses a person-centered, holistic approach. In this way, she hopes to support her clients as they cultivate a purposeful, deliberate life.
